Take a Peak Inside My Makeup Bag

Tuesday, January 21, 2014

If there is one thing anyone should know about me, it's that I have a makeup obsession. I can't walk the aisles of Target without spending at least 15 minutes in the beauty section. I could spend hours in Ulta or Sephora. And beauty gurus on YouTube are my daily addiction.

I carry around a ridiculous amount of beauty products in my purse at all times. I carry all my beauty products around in this beautiful Lilly makeup bag that was a gift from my sorority Little sister.

The first, and most used, item in my makeup bag is my Soap & Glory Hand Food Hand Cream. This stuff is a savior for my hands during these winter months. It has saved my cuticles, which is important because since I got the bling everyone wants a peak at your hands!

I have never been a huge fan of Burt's Bees lip products. However, a few months ago on a whim I picked up this Burt's Bees Ultra Conditioing Lip Balm with Kokum Butter. After falling madly in love with this lip balm, and getting my fiance hooked on the proudct, I picked up about 4 more. There is now one in my makeup bag, my school bag, my car, my nightstand, and my makeup vanity.

Lip products are definitely my obsession, and the Maybelline Baby Lips stole my heart without a doubt. I own almost all of the various Baby Lips. The three in my makeup bag currently are Dr. Rescue's Coral Crave, Dr. Rescue's Too Cool, and Strike a Rose from the electric collection. These are silky on the lips and provide just the right hint of color.

As if I didn't carry around enough lip balm like products, I also have two Loreal Colour Riche Balms. My newest one is Lilac Sweetness and is the perfect winter lip product. It is a gorgeous purple-wine color and has a no-fuss application. The second one is Nourishing Nude and a lovely everyday color.

Somehow I always seem to forget my mascara when getting ready in the morning. I always keep at least one mascara in my bag. The one I am currently loving is Benefit's They're Real. I have the full-sized verison in my collection and this mascara has never failed me.

The last two products in my ever-growing makeup bag are a body spray and a hairspray. I have very thin, straight hair that needs extra doses of hairspray throughout the day in order to hold a curl. The mini currently in my bag is Umberto Bevery Hills Regular Hold Hairspray. The body spray that I carry around is Victoria's Secret Noir Tease. My fiance loves this scent!

Emily
