Advocare: Day 1-5

Tuesday, March 25, 2014

Happy Tuesday ya'll! Here is a look at my first five days of Advocare 24-Day Challenge!

Day One: I woke up super prepared. I had planned my meals the day before, set out all my products, and filled my water bottle. Everything was going well till around 2 pm...when the sugar withdraw hit. I had the worst headache and was sleepy, but nothing a second Spark drink couldn't fix! For breakfast, I had half a banana and my fiber drink. I finished the banana after the gym. For lunch, I had a yummy salad with two hard boiled eggs, spinach, and tons of veggies. For dinner, I made chicken fajitas in the crockpot over quinoa. It was super delicious and I made extra for lunches throughout the week!

Day Two: I thought I was going to starve. I ate a banana and my fiber drink before heading to the NPC competition. My good friend and sorority sister was competing for the first time and we had a blast! Before I left for the competition, I accidentally broke Micah's glasses leaving him blind all day. I didn't have much time after the competition for lunch because I had to take my blind fiance to the eye doctor, but I did eat a bag of carrot sticks. For dinner, Micah made delicious fish & quinoa bowls. YUM! Later that night, I devoured my protein shake and a bag of celery sticks.

Day Three: I woke up early to get my leg day workout in before heading to Micah's parents for lunch and a movie. For breakfast, I ate a banana and hard boiled egg along with my fiber drink. Micah's mom made a delicious homemade salad bar and I filled up on tons of yummy veggies. On the drive home I inhaled my bag of carrot sticks. Then for dinner, Micah made me scrambled eggs and I had my protein shake before going to bed.

Day Four: No fiber drink for me and I'm down two inches in my waist! :) Hallelujah. For breakfast, I had scrambled eggs and a handful of blueberries. I ate fairly late so I wasn't hungry for lunch, but I managed to eat a hard boiled egg and sliced cucumber. I also skimped on the cardio because I was running late, but still got my lifting in. I decided walking the dog a few times a day was a good enough make-up for my cardio. My lovely mother came for dinner and I made yummy stuffed green peppers in the oven. So scrumptious.

Day Five: I can't believe it is day five already. I feel great and have so much energy! I started today with a spark and banana before work, then had a hard boiled egg before class. For lunch, I took leftovers to class with me. I have a pretty long day with class, volunteering, gym, and then sisterhood event so I'm planning on having a leftover stuffed pepper for dinner. It is true what they say: fail to prepare and you will prepare to fail.

As far as measurements go, I am down about 3 pounds and 2 inches from my waist. Pretty swell for day five!

Emily
